Structured Approach to NDECC® Exam Preparation
Roadmap Overview
The National Dental Examination of Clinical Competence (NDECC®) is the third exam required to gain Canadian dental licensure. The NDECC® Roadmap is designed to guide internationally trained dentists through both components of the NDECC® exam: Clinical Skills and Situational Judgement. This dual approach allows you to be more efficient in your preparation as you get one step closer to becoming a licensed dentist in Canada.
With this Roadmap, you enroll in two subsequent cycles of our NDECC® Clinical Skills course, which increases your probability of clearing this exam. In conjunction, participants are admitted into our NDECC® Situational Judgement course, followed by the NDECC® Situational Judgment Practice course. You will then be able to attend the NDECC® Simulation Exams course, which allows you to participate in 2 full simulations of the NDECC® exam, giving you valuable exposure to mock exams that mirror real test conditions.
With the NDECC® Roadmap, participants are automatically eligible to apply to our PrepAssist™ program, which offers a 0% interest monthly payment plan. To learn more about eligibility, visit our Financial Advisors page or book an appointment with one of our Financial Advisors.

Situational Judgement Practice
The Situational Judgement Practice provides additional practice in the form of mini-mock exams that closely mirror the conditions of the NDECC® Situational Judgement exam.

Pre-Exam Clinical Practice
*For Mississauga Trainees, we provide an extra weekly service aimed at enhancing your preparation through increased clinical hours. We offer:
- 1-month access to our NDECC® mock exam centre
- 1 hour 1:1 instructor consultations twice a week
- Access to A-dec® simulators 5 days a week, 8 hours a day
2 Full NDECC® Simulation Exams
With this, you gain access to the NDECC® Simulation Exam course, which incorporates 2 full simulations of the NDECC® exam experience. This full package includes 2 simulations of the Clinical Skills component, and 2 simulations of the Situational Judgement component.
With our Clinical Skills simulations, you will receive:
• 8-hour clinical case simulations on A-dec® simulators
• Knowledge on infection control
• 1:1 personalized evaluations with highly qualified instructors
With our Situational Judgement simulations you will receive:
• 3-hour simulations of the NDECC® Situational Judgement exam
• Practice on 10 stations (5 role-play stations + 5 written stations)
• 1:1 Feedback about role-play performance
• In-depth discussions and Q&A

**Lab access is between 2:20 PM - 10:20 PM at the regional standard time. Access is permitted for practice during the assigned session (6 days a week) for the duration of the course.
